My artistic hiatus has paved the way for my pursuit of my previous passion: writing. I've gotten back to it this year and, unashamedly, I find that I enjoy it more. Words, and the manipulation of words, have always been a source of fascination for me since time immemorial (yeah right). I don't claim to be perfectly proficient in English, but I try to be - and the Internet has always been a source of grievance for me due to the existence...yes, existence, of these certain individuals who ravage the language in such a way that it ends up looking worse than roadkill. Disgusting, yes, but I'd rather see roadkill than read anything posted online by these 'native' speakers.
Yes, you come from a country where English is your first language. Show some respect to yourself and actually use it well enough, why don't you? Saddening to see that non-native speakers are actually better at distinguishing between 'your' and 'you're' in the same sentence than these 'first-language' speakers.
'Well, if you don't like it, then why are you reading it at all?' you may ask.
The answer is, honey: I don't want to read that kind of crap at all. They just POP out at me. Unavoidable. In-your-face. Like some kind of humongous spider. Only, spiders look way better than horrendous grammar.
Anyway, I digress. That's how a teacher's supposed to be, anyway. I rant. About language.
Now, for art...well, let's just say I might have something planned out. Haven't I always said that? LOL. The point is, I might actually draw something..once when my exams are over. God willing.
End of rant!
